Senior Staff Software Engineer · IC7 · Meta

11 years building the Facebook app: design systems, UI infrastructure, and large-scale cross-functional initiatives.

Currently leading strategic bets for the Facebook application, aiming to create a unified, consistent, and future-forward experience. Over a decade at Meta I have driven foundational design system work, large-scale app-wide initiatives, and cross-functional product execution at the highest level of the iOS engineering ladder.

2025–2026

Served as tech lead for the largest recent redesign of Profile, leading cross-functional execution across ~100 partners spanning engineering, design, product, research, and data. Drove rapid prototyping of ambitious concepts to de-risk bold ideas early and accelerate decision-making.

2022–2024

Led design language refreshes across major surfaces of the Facebook app, driving adoption of the design system and tokenized foundations at scale. Directed exploratory experiments to modernize the experience and evolve the product toward a more cohesive, contemporary design language.

2020–2021

Proposed and drove company-wide initiatives such as Designer Diff Review, enabling designers to formally endorse UI changes directly within pull requests. This bridged the gap between design and engineering and integrated design review directly into the development workflow.

2014–2019

Developed Facebook's standard UI libraries, building the design system from foundational primitives (colors, typography, icons) to higher-level components including the core text infrastructure. Built internal tooling for component discoverability and snapshot testing. Drove dark mode, reactions, RTL support, haptic feedback, text-to-speech, and dynamic type.
